I now know that flies have not disappeared. I did not see any flies in 2020 so I thought they were gone. There is one in the house now, but I only see it sporadically and so far I decided not to try and kill it or shoo it away from anything. It may be a different species of fly than before.

Ratsuchan- I believe some fly species have disappeared. And I am thankful for it.

sometimes a gnat gets inside even though my room is airtight
